Are we trying to figure out how to accomplish our dreams or to quit them? It’s time to dream without limits and then take the first step.
For those of you who don’t know, Mitch is a powerhouse of inspiration. He’s the guy behind the top-rated Dream. Think. Do. podcast, which is all about helping people dream bigger, think better, and do more of what they were created to do. And when I say top-rated, I mean it’s in the top 1% of all podcasts and even got a number-one ranking from the Huffington Post.
Mitch is also a Speaker, Elite Success Coach, and has worked with big names like Nike, United Airlines, NASA, and Disney. But what really gets me is his mission to launch a million dreams in his lifetime. And guess what? He’s actually doing it!
Mitch’s journey started in his living room, where he hosted what he calls a “Big Dream Gathering.” The idea was simple: invite friends over, write down dreams and goals on sheets of paper, put them up on the walls, and see if they could help each other out. And it worked! The gathering went from a couple of hours to a full week, and people started achieving their dreams left and right.
Mitch’s story got me thinking: Are we trying to figure out how to accomplish our dreams or how to quit them? The big takeaway for me was to dream without limits and take the first step. We often set incremental goals because it’s safe and logical. But if you want to take a quantum leap forward, you have to release attachments and dream without limit.
Mitch also talked about what he calls a “catalytic moment,” a point where everything seems to be falling apart. It’s a moment that forces you to take action, to experiment, and to move forward. It’s a moment that, while painful at the time, you wouldn’t trade for anything later on because it led you to where you needed to go.
Mitch’s advice? Start with prayer or meditation, connect with your foundational beliefs, and then put on your “scientist’s lab coat.” Think of one experiment you can try right now, no matter how small, and go for it. It’s a form of curiosity that can help you move forward, even when you’re scared out of your mind.
